How do I create a post in Commons?
Go to the Commons tool.
Select the Commons tool from the Tool Menu of your site.
Add text.
Enter text into the editor.
Click Post.
Your text will display.
Add a link. (Optional)
- Click the link button (Insert a link).
- Enter a caption for the link in the Display text field.
- Enter the URL in the Link to field.
- Optionally activate Load thumbnail to generate a small thumbnail preview of the linked page.
- Click Insert.
Click Post.
Your link will display.
Add an image. (Optional)
- Click the image button (Insert an image).
- Click Choose File to locate and attach an image file from your device.
- Click Insert.
Click Post.
Your image will display
Make your post high priority. (Optional)
- Check the box next to Make this post High Priority.
- Click Post.
Click Post.
Your high priority post will display.
High priority posts have a flag to the right of the post marking them as high priority.
Also, site participants will be notified via email that a high priority post has been added to the site.
